MA Taher was born in Dhaka 5 September 1962. He is a feature writer and photojournalist. Graduated from Dhaka University in 1986. Completed basic course and diploma on photography from Begart Institute of photography. In 1987 completed Intermediate and advance course on photography from board of education of the city New York and at the same time he took a short course from Nikon school of photography, New York American Natural History Museum. He has done photography for stamps of Bangladesh, Calendar, Daily Newspaper and magazines, periodicals, journals etc. He has done photography for different Government and private organisations.

He is life member Bangla Academy, Member Asiatic Society of Bangladesh, Life member Bangladesh Photographic Society, Member Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ), President Friends Society, Past President Leo Club of Dhaka Kamlapur Donor Photographer Bangladesh National Museum, Ex Liasion officer Federation of International Art Photography (FIAP), Bangladesh. Member Rotary Club of Sonargaon Dhaka, Member Azad Sporting Club.
